SOLD - TIMELESS BEAUTY AND SENSITIVITY

Small unfretted clavichord by Thomas Goff and Joseph Cobby, 1948. A stunning instrument in excellent conditon by pioneering British builders, with a sweet, delicate sound and long sustain. CC-d''', double strung, with ebony and ivory reverse keyboard and listing board. Gorgeous burled case veneer with lovely inlays. French double manual harpsichord after Taskin by Hubbard and Broekman, 2000. 2 x 8', 1 x 4', buff stop. 61 keys (FF-f''') transposing 415/440. Strung in P wire, new dampers. Beautiful dark green case with crimson interior, gold banding. A handsome instrument with the rich, full, and resonant sound that has come to be expected from the best of Hubbard and Broekman instruments. Comes with beautiful  4-piece oak turned stand.
